The total solar eclipse will occur on August 12, 2026, starting around 18:30 UTC and reaching totality at approximately 19:30 UTC.
The eclipse will be visible across Spain, with the path of totality crossing from northwest to southeast. Check our Locations page for specific viewing spots.
Yes, you need proper eye protection. Regular sunglasses are not sufficient. Use ISO 12312-2 certified eclipse glasses or other approved solar viewing equipment.
The total eclipse phase will last between 1-2 minutes depending on your location. The entire event (partial phases) will last about 2 hours.
Cloudy weather can obstruct the view, but you can still experience the darkness of totality. We recommend having backup viewing locations or watching the live stream.
Many events are free, but some may require registration or have a small fee. Check individual event details for specific information.
